Boys and girls in grades 3 through 11 looking to improve their basketball skills can attend the “March Madness” Basketball Camp hosted by Bevill State Community College March 26 through 28 in the Glen Clem Gym on the Jasper Campus.

The camp, conducted by Bevill State coaches and players, is scheduled for 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. each day.  Registration for the first day begins at 8 a.m.

Congratulations to the Bevill State Basketball team!  They have made it into the Alabama Community College Conference Playoffs.

The 6th seeded Bears will face the 3rd seeded team from Enterprise State Community College on Friday, March 1 at 7 p.m. in Enterprise.  If they win, the Bears continue on to play in the ACCC Tournament at Lawson State Community College in Birmingham.

For the second time this season,  BSCC's Wanya King, a sophomore guard , has been named the Alabama Community College Conference Player of the Week.  The Fort Payne, Alabama native led the Bears with 29.5 points, 5.5 rebounds with three assists and two steals while shooting 55.6% from the field and 100% from the charity stripe. Congratulations Wanya!

Bevill State Basketball’s last home game of the season is Monday, Feb. 18 on the Jasper Campus.  It features several special events, including recognition of the team’s five sophomore players.

The Bevill State Bears take on the Bison of Southern Union State Community College Monday, Jan. 14 at 7 p.m. Tickets are $6 for the general public and BSCC students and employees are admitted free with a BSCC ID.

There will be a special halftime show sponsored by the Jasper Campus SGA featuring students from the Marilyn Sanders Performing Arts Center.

The Bevill State Bears will play their first game of 2019 Friday, January 4 at 7:00 p.m. in the Clem Gym on the College’s Jasper Campus.  Come and cheer the 10-1 Bears as they take on Enterprise State Community College.  Tickets are $6.  Students and Employees are admitted free with their IDs.

The home basketball game scheduled for Monday, November 26 against Chattahoochee Valley Community College has been cancelled.  The next home game is Saturday, December 1 at 3:00 p.m. against Wallace Community College Selma.
