Bevill State Basketball’s last home game of the season is Monday, Feb. 18 on the Jasper Campus. It features several special events, including recognition of the team’s five sophomore players.
The five players - Omar Bartholomew, Chris Freeman, Wanya King, Kenton Petties, and Peyton Woods – play their last home game as a Bevill Bear. To celebrate their time at BSCC, there will be a pre-game party hosted by Student Services in the Jesse Student Center, followed by a sophomore recognition at 6:40 p.m. in the Glenn Clem Gym. The Student Government Association is sponsoring the player recognition.
The SGA has also invited dancers from the Marilyn Sanders Performing Arts Center to entertain during halftime.
In addition to all these activities, Champion Sports Medicine, the College’s training partner for the Jasper and Sumiton Campuses, has designated Monday’s game as “CSM Night”. Giveaways and prizes provided from Champions will be available to some attendees of the game.
The game itself, which features Bevill State hosting Gadsden State, is scheduled for 7 p.m.
Everyone is invited to attend the pre-game activities. Tickets for the game are $6 for the public, while BSCC employees and students are admitted free with a Bevill State ID.
